12 Tannery Owners Finalize Plot Allocations in Sialkot Tannery Zone with SCCI President

In a series of productive meetings with Ikram-ul-Haq, the President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), significant progress has been made regarding the allocation of plots in the Sialkot Tannery Zone (STZ). The discussions, held on November 26, 29, and December 7, culminated in a promising resolution for local tannery owners.

On December 7, a group of 12 tannery owners met with the SCCI president to finalize their applications for plot allotments in the STZ.

During the meeting, President Ikram-ul-Haq assured them that all pending allotments would be processed promptly once the requisite payments are completed.

The allotment letters are set to be issued following the receipt of payments on Monday, December 9.

On December 09, 2024, in line with the existing policy of the Sialkot Tannery Zone, three allottees surrendered their plots, paving the way for new tannery holders. Following this, nine new tannery holders were granted allotment confirmations after presenting their 100% payment cheques.

The SCCI president has urged all tannery owners who have not yet applied for plots in the Sialkot Tannery Zone to act swiftly. He emphasized that applications received before the deadline would be processed under the government’s established rules and regulations.
