32nd Algerian Production Fair Showcased 'Made in Algeria' Footwear and Leather Products

The 32nd Algerian Production Fair (FPA), held between December 19 to 28, highlighted the growth and innovation of Algerian businesses. The event served as a platform for companies to display their commitment to meeting domestic demands, reducing imports, and striving for international recognition.

This year’s fair provided a comprehensive look at Algeria’s industrial diversity and the determination of local enterprises to gain a stronger foothold in both national and global markets.

The event’s significance lies in its role in fostering economic resilience and promoting products proudly marked “Made in Algeria.”

The FPA 2024 edition brought together a wide range of companies, each showcasing products that blend quality with affordability.

Among the standout participants was the GITEX Group, known for its expertise in textiles and leather.

Visitors were captivated by the group’s offerings, which included shoes, trainers, leather jackets, duvets, and sheets.

“It is encouraging to see Algerian-made goods gaining traction despite stiff competition from foreign imports.”

Hadia Krimat, a representative of GITEX

Krimat further revealed the group’s ambitious plans, including the launch of a new footwear and leather workshop aimed at the general public in 2025.

Currently, 80% of their footwear production supports the People’s National Army, but the expansion signals a broader focus on civilian markets.
