Leathernews.org was founded by Arshad Khan, an engineer specializing in Leather Technology from Anna University, Department of Leather Technology, housed at CSIR – Central Leather Research Institute, India.

He is known for his keen interest in analyzing global leather, footwear & allied industry markets & his ability to make complex information clear & accessible on LinkedIn.

Leathernews.org started out of frustration. While doing my engineering in Leather Technology I kept looking for reliable news & updates about the global leather industry & kept running into the same problem: there were only a few platforms & most of the information was locked behind paywalls, which I could not afford back then.

I kept asking myself why people involved in this industry should have to struggle to find easy access to what’s happening around them. That thought stayed with me & although I couldn’t do much back then in March 2024 I turned it into action by launching Leathernews.org to make global leather news clear & accessible for everyone completely for FREE.

Since our launch, LeatherNews.org has quickly grown into a trusted platform with leather industry professionals, entrepreneurs & enthusiasts from more than 120 countries. We have reached over 2.3 million+ views across 120+ countries with a growing readership of industry professionals worldwide.
