The AC Tech Association of Leather & Footwear Alumni (ALFA) is gearing up for a prestigious gathering at the ALFA Ambassador’s Meet 2025. This highly anticipated event will take place on February 2, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the India International Leather Fair (IILF) 2025 in Chennai Trade Center’s New Convention Center, 1st Floor, Conference Hall 1.
ALFA represents a thriving community of alumni from the Department of Leather Technology, Anna University, housed at CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI).
With a rich history spanning over 75 years and a network of 1,900+ accomplished alumni, the association has significantly contributed to the advancement of the leather, footwear, and allied industries.
The ALFA Ambassador’s Meet 2025 will be a platform to recognize industry leaders, encourage knowledge sharing, and celebrate contributions to the sector.
This year’s event will feature a prestigious Orator Award Lecture delivered by Dr. K. J. Sreeram, Director of CSIR-CLRI. His talk, titled “An R&D Led Growth for Sustainable Development of the Leather Sector,” will delve into how research and development can drive the future of sustainable leather production.
Enhancing the evening’s prestige, Mr. M Abdul Wahab, Regional Chairman (South) of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and Director of K.H. Exports India Pvt Ltd, will grace the event as the Chief Guest and present the esteemed Orator Award.
Beyond the formal presentations, the ALFA Ambassador’s Meet 2025 promises to be a valuable networking opportunity. Alumni, industry experts, professionals, and students will come together for insightful discussions on emerging trends, challenges, and innovations in the global leather industry.
