Boxmark Bosnia is preparing for a major growth push that could reshape its operations in the country.
The leather manufacturer, which is part of Austria’s Boxmark group, announced plans to invest 13 million marka ($7.8 million or 6.6 million euro) in 2026 to expand its machinery, boost production capacity and add new jobs.
According to the labour ministry of Bosnia’s Federation, the company will start hiring 400 additional employees from January.
Boxmark already employs 860 workers at its Lukavac facility where it currently produces about 650 leather garments each day.
Boxmark’s parent company in Austria has a global footprint with operations in Mexico, Argentina, Slovenia and Croatia. It is well known for manufacturing premium upholstery leathers that are used by top global brands.
