China Bags and Cases Exports Fall 12.9% to $24.8 Billion in First 10 Months of 2025

According to official data released by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) the bags and cases segment in China’s leather industry saw a steep slowdown during the first 10 months of 2025 as sales and trade values moved sharply lower.

From January to October 2025 the sales revenue of key bags and cases enterprises fell by 17.3% compared to the previous year.

Exports of bags and cases reached USD 24.84 billion during this period. This represents a year on year drop of 12.9%

Imports also declined though at a slower pace. China imported bags and cases worth USD 4.26 billion from Jan to Oct 2025 reflecting a decrease of 8.9% compared to the same period last year.
