According to official data released by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) the leather garment segment showed a positive trend in the first 10 months of 2025.
From January to October 2025 the sales revenue of key leather garment enterprises increased by 7.8% year on year. This growth stands out at a time when most leather related segments in China are facing declines.
Exports of leather garments reached USD 100 million during this period. Export value remained largely unchanged compared to the same period last year indicating stable overseas demand.
Imports of leather garments totaled USD 97.329 million from Jan to Oct 2025. This reflects a marginal decline of 1.4% year on year showing controlled import activity.
Overall the data suggests that China’s leather garment segment remained resilient in the first 10 months of 2025 supported by steady exports and rising domestic sales.
