The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) led a strong Indian presence at the Shoes & Leather Fair in Ho Chi Minh City, held from July 9 to 11, 2025. Ten Indian exporters participated under CLE’s banner, highlighting the country’s growing capabilities in footwear and leather manufacturing.

As part of the visit, the Indian delegation, which included representatives from CLE and key state governments, explored opportunities for trade and collaboration with Vietnamese companies.

A key highlight of the visit was a Road Show and B2B meeting hosted by CLE in Ho Chi Minh City.

Officials from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh also delivered presentations to attract foreign investment into their respective states’ leather clusters.

The delegation visited Ojitex Long Thanh, a company known for mould and related product manufacturing, and toured the Chin Chen Huf Mould Making factory and Harvest Tannery.

These visits aimed to strengthen industrial ties and explore new avenues for collaboration in moulds, tanning, and footwear production.
