IULTCS Names Dr Giancarlo Lovato as Vice-President and Dr Patricia Casey as Merit Award Nominee

The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) has officially appointed a new vice-president and revealed this year’s Merit Award nominee.

Dr. Giancarlo Lovato from Italy has been named the new Vice-President. He was the only nominee this term, submitted by AICC, Italy. After reviewing his qualifications, the IULTCS Officers confirmed his appointment.

Dr. Lovato brings a strong background to the role. He has previously served as the President of AICC, led the III Euro Congress in Vicenza, and is currently the Chair of IUN. His contributions to the leather sector include multiple publications and several patents.

In addition to this, the IULTCS announced their nominee for the prestigious Merit Award. The Officers unanimously selected Dr. Patricia Casey from Argentina for the honor.

Dr. Casey is no stranger to leadership. She served as President of IULTCS and held the top position at AAQTIC for many years. Her career in leather manufacturing has been marked by excellence and dedication.

The Merit Award will be presented to Dr. Casey during the gala dinner on Wednesday, September 10.
