Leather Naturally has added two new voices to its Management Board as the global leather industry looks for stronger communication and deeper collaboration. Jim Deheer from Loop Marketing and Carla Vélez from Leather Cluster Barcelona have stepped into key roles that will guide the organisation for the next three years.
Jim takes over as Communications Lead from Alexa Rosatti of JBS. Carla steps into the position previously held by Natasja Brouns of Stahl.
Leather Naturally has thanked both outgoing members for their hard work and commitment.
Jim comes with more than 20 years of experience across leather, luxury and manufacturing. He has worked with the Scottish Leather Group, Leather Working Group, One 4 Leather and now runs Loop Marketing.
He is known for pushing clear facts, responsible practices and storytelling that brings the industry together. His focus has always been on sustainability and certification which have become central topics in the leather world.
Carla enters the board as a project manager and educator who blends design, material knowledge and innovation. Her career started at La Gaspar School of Art and Design in Igualada where she trained young creatives and strengthened their connection to craftsmanship.
She holds a Master’s in Fashion Communication and Marketing with a focus on luxury. Today she leads European projects for Leather Cluster Barcelona and continues to teach at La Gaspar while managing its Erasmus program.
Carla aims to promote leather as a durable and responsible material while also celebrating the cultural and industrial identity of Igualada.
In the coming three years both Jim and Carla are expected to play a key role in shaping Leather Naturally’s global message as the organisation continues to push for responsible leather production and closer cooperation across the industry.
