Pasubio a major name in premium leather for luxury cars, has launched a new platform called UNICA S.p.A. This follows the company’s recent acquisition of two respected Italian leather firms Conceria Antiba S.p.A. and SK!N S.r.l.
The owners of Antiba and SK!N are now shareholders in UNICA, alongside PAI Partners and the Pretto family. They are also investing heavily in the platform, both financially and personally.
With the launch of UNICA, Pasubio sets its sights on establishing a distinctly Italian leader in the luxury materials space blending artisanal heritage with industrial and commercial excellence.
This newly formed platform is built to serve a wide spectrum of the luxury market, including automotive, handbags, footwear, accessories, apparel, and home interiors, all while championing Italy’s world-renowned craftsmanship.
Pasubio, known for producing over 1,600 bespoke SKUs, has long catered to elite automotive brands such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Range Rover, and BMW.
Now, with the integration of two Tuscan standouts Conceria Antiba and SK!N. UNICA is set to extend that legacy into fashion.
Antiba brings a rich tradition of crafting premium calf and goat leathers for fashion houses like Hermès, Chanel, and Bottega Veneta.
Meanwhile, SK!N strengthens UNICA’s commercial edge, offering product scouting and market access through strong ties with major international fashion brands.
UNICA will provide a full portfolio of high end materials and services. To preserve the group’s culture of craftsmanship and ensure product consistency, Pasubio will implement advanced AI-powered solutions that safeguard quality and traceability across its offerings.
“We’re delighted to launch UNICA & welcome Antiba & SK!N into this new chapter. With our combined expertise, trusted partnerships & dedication to excellence, UNICA is perfectly positioned to become a one-stop destination for premium materials & services in the luxury sector. I’m excited to collaborate closely with the group as we continue to build & expand this platform.”
Luca Pretto, CEO of Pasubio
UNICA will operate through dedicated verticals, each led by specialized management teams. The original founders of Antiba and SK!N will continue to play pivotal roles, maintaining client relationships and guiding strategy to ensure continuity and deep industry knowledge.
A joint management committee including the founders will steer the group’s development, focusing on sustainability, material traceability, and faster development cycles.
