The ribbon-cutting ceremony saw the participation of PTA Chairman Hamid A. Zahur, leather show convener Agha Saiddain, and numerous officials and tanners from across the country.

Featuring more than 250 stalls, the event boasts an array of leather and leather products such as gloves, shoes, bags, clothing, and other leather items.

What makes this event particularly special is the participation of both national and international companies, including industry leaders from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan.

Local and international industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, exporters, and decision-makers, have flocked to the event to forge connections and explore opportunities.

According to participants, the Mega Leather Show serves as an essential networking hub for fostering industry growth and strengthening Pakistan’s economy.

Pakistan’s leather industry holds a prestigious position as the second-largest export-oriented sector in manufacturing and the third-largest contributor to the country’s overall exports.

Data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics highlights a 7.96% increase in export revenue, with total earnings rising from $428.36 million to $462.49 million year-over-year.

The primary drivers of this growth were increased exports of leather gloves and footwear, signaling rising global demand for Pakistan’s leather products.
