Uzbekistan Secures Leather Footwear Export Deal Worth $9.5 Million with Afghanistan

Uzbekistan is making strong moves to grow its leather and footwear industry. A recent business trip to Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, led to a major export deal and opened doors for more international partnerships.

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the association “Uzcharmsanoat,” met with top Afghan companies. These face-to-face meetings focused on expanding exports, attracting investment, and building lasting business ties.

One of the biggest outcomes was a deal worth US$9.5 million. Afghan company AFGAN CYBER agreed to buy various models of leather footwear from Uzbek firm KASHIF FERGHANI LTD.

During the visit, Ahmad Aymal, who heads the Afghan company AYSAN, shared his strong interest in Uzbek-made footwear. His company supplies shoes to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior.

This visit was not just about one deal. It helped boost Uzbekistan’s image as a trusted supplier of leather goods in the region. With global demand for leather and footwear rising, these partnerships play a key role in shaping the future of the country’s industry.
