The third edition of APLF ASEAN is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 13 to 15 November 2025. This B2B leather and materials sourcing event is quickly becoming one of Southeast Asia’s most important trade shows for manufacturers in footwear, leather goods, garments, and furniture.
After hosting two successful editions in Bangkok, the event now moves to Vietnam, a fast-growing hub for leather and footwear manufacturing. Backed by APLF’s decades of experience in hosting global leather exhibitions, this show connects international suppliers with regional manufacturers who depend on imported materials.
APLF ASEAN is designed for business. The show is built around the M.E.E.T. concept:
- Matching: Direct B2B meetings between suppliers and serious buyers
- Experience: Interactive spaces to explore material trends and innovations
- Education: Seminars and sessions led by industry experts
- Tradeshow: A focused event for industrial sourcing needs
“Exhibitors and buyers deserve an enhanced sourcing experience in the region, and we hope APLF ASEAN can help provide that focused, high-return environment”
Janice Lee, Director, APLF
Vietnam is already a major importer of leather. Each year, over 500 million square feet of leather enters the country from India, Italy, Brazil, the US, and mainly China. Around 60% of this is used for footwear with leather uppers, while the rest goes into bags, garments, accessories, and even furniture and cars.
Global changes in trade policy and rising tariffs are pushing brands to diversify their supply chains. Vietnam is benefiting from this shift. Experts expect Vietnam’s leather industry to grow 6–8% every year until 2030.
With this momentum, APLF ASEAN 2025 promises to offer international suppliers a perfect entry point into the Southeast Asian market, especially for those targeting Vietnam’s rising manufacturing power.
