CLRI Partners with Naser Bali to Launch High-Tech Leather Gloves for Indian Soldiers in Extreme Cold Weather

CSIR – Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) has announced an exciting new partnership with M/s. Naser Bali (Gloves) Pvt. Ltd., a prominent name in the leather apparel and sporting gloves industry.

This collaboration aims to bring to market cutting-edge Indian leather gloves designed specifically for extreme cold weather conditions, bolstering India’s self-reliance in defense apparel and meeting the high demands of both government ministries and consumers.

The partnership is a major milestone for both organizations, combining CSIR-CLRI’s expertise in leather science and technology with Naser Bali Pvt. Ltd.’s prowess in quality glove manufacturing.

By integrating advanced materials and design, these gloves promise to offer unmatched protection in sub-zero environments, making them ideal for military personnel stationed in high-altitude regions, as well as outdoor sports enthusiasts.

“We are truly delighted that our efforts in developing extreme cold weather protective gloves have culminated in this technology transfer to one of India’s leading glove manufacturers. It gives us immense happiness to contribute to the welfare of the brave soldiers who protect our nation.”

Dr. Nishad Fathima, Chief Scientist at CSIR-CLRI

This initiative aligns with the Indian government’s push for self-sufficiency in defense production. By manufacturing these high-tech gloves domestically, India reduces its dependence on imports while ensuring that its defense forces are equipped with the best possible gear.

With their cutting-edge design and performance, these gloves are set to make a mark in both domestic and international markets.

Exciting times lie ahead as this Made in India innovation sets a new benchmark for leather goods, both locally and globally.
