Leather Sector Skill Council (LSSC) Opens New Office at CFTI Campus in Chennai

The Leather Sector Skill Council (LSSC), a non-profit organization focused on addressing the skill requirements of the Indian leather industry, has inaugurated its new office at the Central Footwear Training Institute Campus in Guindy, Chennai.

This move marks a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts to build a skilled workforce and enhance industry standards in India’s leather sector.

Founded in 2012, the LSSC is one of the key sector skill councils approved by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Its mission is to cater to the training and employment needs of various leather sub-sectors, including finished leather, footwear, garments, leather goods, accessories, saddlery, and harness sectors. The council collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including industry leaders, government organizations, academic institutions, training partners, and assessment partners.
