Pritzker Private Capital Set to Acquire Buckman

Pritzker Private Capital (PPC), a well-known leader in family direct investing, has officially signed an agreement to acquire Buckman, a family-owned company specializing in water treatment and industrial process solutions.

This strategic acquisition will see PPC investing alongside members of the Buckman family and management team, ensuring additional resources for growth, product innovation, and market expansion. Buckman’s existing leadership, including CEO Junai Maharaj, will continue to guide the company post-acquisition.

Founded in 1945 by Stanley Buckman, the company has remained under family ownership for nearly 80 years. Buckman has built a strong reputation for serving global industrial giants with cutting-edge solutions in water processing, paper, leather chemicals and packaging recycling.

Operating six manufacturing hubs and employing over 1,300 professionals worldwide, Buckman provides services to customers in more than 90 countries.

“I am thrilled to welcome PPC to the Buckman family. Our journey began nearly 80 years ago with a mission to develop sustainable solutions for the industry’s most complex challenges. PPC shares our values and vision, and I am confident that together, we will build on this strong foundation for many years to come.”

Robert “Bob” Buckman, Chairman Emeritus and Former CEO

“PPC’s investment in Buckman is a testament to the strength of our business and the dedication of our team. With PPC’s support, we will expand internationally, drive digital innovation, and deliver even greater value to our customers and industry.”

Junai Maharaj, CEO, Buckman

“We are delighted to partner with Buckman and support its next phase of growth. The Buckman family and Junai have built a remarkable business with a unique operating model. We look forward to working together to create even more value through strategic acquisitions and international expansion.”

Thomas Chadwick, Investment Partner at PPC

While the terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the acquisition is expected to close in Q2 of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions. Evercore served as the financial advisor for Buckman throughout the process.
