The 10th Pakistan Mega Leather Show Kicks Off with Over 250 Exhibitors at Lahore Expo Centre

The 10th Mega Leather Show 2025 was inaugurated on 26th January at the Lahore Expo Centre by Federal Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Jawad Paul. Organized by the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), the three-day event, which runs from January 26 to January 28, promises to be a grand showcase of the Pakistan’s leather industry’s prowess.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony saw the participation of PTA Chairman Hamid A. Zahur, leather show convener Agha Saiddain, and numerous officials and tanners from across the country.

Featuring more than 250 stalls, the event boasts an array of leather and leather products such as gloves, shoes, bags, clothing, and other leather items.

What makes this event particularly special is the participation of both national and international companies, including industry leaders from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan.

Local and international industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, exporters, and decision-makers, have flocked to the event to forge connections and explore opportunities.

According to participants, the Mega Leather Show serves as an essential networking hub for fostering industry growth and strengthening Pakistan’s economy.

Pakistan’s leather industry holds a prestigious position as the second-largest export-oriented sector in manufacturing and the third-largest contributor to the country’s overall exports.

Data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics highlights a 7.96% increase in export revenue, with total earnings rising from $428.36 million to $462.49 million year-over-year.

The primary drivers of this growth were increased exports of leather gloves and footwear, signaling rising global demand for Pakistan’s leather products.

  • Finished Leather Exports: Generated $67.95 million, up from $67.45 million, reflecting a modest growth of 0.73%.
  • Leather Products Exports: Including garments and other leather goods, exports grew by 6.88%, climbing to $303.81 million from $284.26 million during the same period last year.
  • Footwear Exports: Achieved a remarkable increase, rising from $76.64 million to $90.73 million.

The Mega Leather Show 2025 is more than just an exhibition, its a mix of local talent and global partnerships, the event offers a promising outlook for future collaborations and market expansion.
