The Indian leather industry is mourning the loss of Malack Mohamed Hashim, Chairman of KH Group and one of its most respected leaders. He passed away after dedicating over six decades to the sector.
Known for his deep expertise across tanning, manufacturing, and exports, Mr. Hashim was instrumental in shaping India’s leather industry.
In 2018, he was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and was widely referred to as the “Doyen of the Leather Industry.”
He served in leadership roles across key KH Group companies and supported several educational and industry foundations.
