Chinese Firm to Launch $5 Million Leather and Footwear Project in Uzbekistan

A new $5 million investment project is taking shape in Uzbekistan as Chinese company Simple Leasing moves forward with plans to boost the country’s leather and footwear industry.

Early discussions were held with Angren Charm LLC in the Tashkent region. The project will introduce modern machinery, expand product offerings, and increase export opportunities for local enterprises.

At a recent meeting hosted by the Uzcharmsanoat Association, both sides reviewed technical needs, production capacity, target markets, and export strategies. Legal and organizational issues were also addressed during the talks.

A delegation from Simple Leasing is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan in September to finalize the agreement. The trip will include inspections of production sites, final negotiations with local partners, and an official signing ceremony.

Leaders at Uzcharmsanoat Association emphasized that working with Simple Leasing marks an important step for the sector. They believe the project will bring in international funding and advanced technology, helping improve product quality and boost competitiveness abroad.

Simple Leasing has a strong track record in financing and leasing equipment for industries ranging from agriculture to logistics. The company’s latest move shows growing international interest in Uzbekistan’s leather sector.
