MM Hashim Memorial Lecture Titled The Man Who Saw 50 Years Ahead Scheduled on 01 Sep 2025 4 PM at CLRI Chennai

The MM Hashim Memorial Lecture 2025 will celebrate the life and legacy of Late Malack Mohamed Hashim, a pioneering figure in India’s leather and footwear sector.

The event will be held on 01 Sep 2025 at 04:00 PM (IST) at the Triple Helix Auditorium, CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute, Adyar. An online meeting option is also available for attendees (link provided below)

The lecture, titled “The Man Who Saw 50 Years Ahead“, will be delivered by Dr. T. Ramasami, Former Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology and Former Director of CSIR-CLRI.

Rafeeque Ahmed, President of AISHTMA, will preside over the event with his presidential address.

The program begins with high tea at 03:30 PM, followed by a welcome address by Dr. K.J. Sreeram, Director, CLRI at 04:00 PM.

The presidential address is scheduled for 04:10 PM and Dr. Ramasami will deliver the memorial lecture at 04:25 PM. The event will conclude with the presentation of citation at 05:25 PM and felicitation by Malack Abdul Wahab, Managing Director, KH Exports India Pvt. Ltd., at 05:30 PM.
