The Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA) wrapped up its All India Leather Products and Allied Sourcing Fair at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre from October 28 to 30, 2025. The three-day event, drew attention with its highlight show Leather on the Ramp 2025 hosted on October 29 at Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

The fair brought together international buyers, designers and industry professionals under one roof, celebrating the creative transformation of leather from raw material to high fashion products.

Dignitaries from the Chinese, German and Russian consulates, along with trade representatives from across the world, attended the event, reinforcing ILPA’s vision to position Bengal as a global leather sourcing hub.

Rajda Industries took home the award for Best Collection while The Trio Group won in the Best Episode category, both applauded for their creativity and craftsmanship.

What many don’t realise is that Calcutta plays a key role in the global leather industry, as most major European brands source their handbags right from our city. This year, the leather trade fair has received an overwhelming response, with over a hundred international buyers from Europe and America who were genuinely impressed by the exhibits.
