Egypt Opens Applications for 36 Leather Production and Industrial Units in Robbiki Leather City

Cairo for Investment and Development Company (CID) has launched 36 new industrial units in the third phase of Robbiki Leather City in Badr City, Egypt. The move aims to boost investment in the leather manufacturing sector. Applications will run from 5 to 25 May 2026 through the company’s online portal.

The offering includes 31 ready-to-operate production units and 5 service shops. CID, which operates in the industrial development sector, said the units are designed for finished leather production and related activities.

The production units include 6 factories of 2,000 sqm, 10 factories of 1,000 sqm and 15 smaller workshops of 121 sqm. The 5 service shops, each 20 sqm, will support on-site operations such as retail, showrooms and food services.

This plan supports Egypt’s push to localise industry and attract investment in key sectors. The units are fully serviced and built to suit different investor needs within the specialised leather hub.

The units are offered under an ownership model with flexible payment terms. Investors must pay 25% upfront, get a 1 year grace period and can repay over 5 years at 10% interest. Additional incentives are available for full upfront payments.

“The offering aligns with ongoing efforts to localise industry and expand investment opportunities in strategic sectors”

– Nahed Youssef, Chairperson of CID and Head of the Industrial Development Authority (CID)

Investors can apply for multiple units, with faster allocation and delivery timelines.

CID has partnered with banks including National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, EBank and QNB to offer optional financing for machinery, production lines and working capital.

Mahmoud Moharram, CEO and Managing Director (CID), said the project gives access to integrated infrastructure, training centres and permanent exhibition spaces.
