DPIIT Recruitment 2024: Application Open for Managing Director Position at FDDI

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has officially opened applications for the position of Managing Director at the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI). Position and Vacancy Details

DPIIT is seeking experienced candidates to fill the Managing Director position at FDDI. This role is crucial, given FDDI’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the footwear industry in India. With just one vacancy, the competition is expected to be intense.

Eligibility Criteria and Experience

To be eligible for this role, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. In addition, they should have at least 10 years of experience in administrative roles. Experience in Leather Technology or the Leather Industry is highly desirable, atleast one year. Candidates with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree may have an added advantage.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years. This requirement ensures that candidates are at a prime age for leadership, bringing both experience and energy to the role.

Salary and Compensation

Candidates selected for the Managing Director position will be compensated in the Pay Level-14 category, with a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 144,200 to Rs. 218,200. This competitive pay scale reflects the significance and responsibility of the role within FDDI and DPIIT.

Tenure and Appointment

The appointment for this position is on a deputation basis for a tenure of five years. This allows for a substantial period to make impactful contributions while also offering stability and growth opportunities within the role.
