Italian leather chemicals companies Icap Leather Chem and GSC Group have entered a strategic partnership under which GSC Group will distribute Icap Leather Chem products to tanneries in Italy’s Veneto leather district. The companies said the partnership aims to improve service, quality and competitiveness for tanneries in the region.
Icap Leather Chem, based in Lainate, Milan, develops and produces acrylic resins, polyurethane resins and auxiliaries for leather finishing. The company said the partnership will allow it to focus more on the industrial side of its business while working with GSC Group on distribution.
GSC Group will bring its distribution network and established relationships with tanneries in Veneto to the partnership. The 2 companies said they share a focus on quality, reliability and innovation.
Emanuele Feri, Procuratore of Icap Leather Chem, said GSC Group was chosen as a partner because of its focus on quality, customer proximity and service.
Adriano Serafini, CEO of GSC Group, said the partnership will allow the company to offer Veneto tanneries a broader product range and a higher level of service.
The companies said the collaboration is designed to combine Icap Leather Chem’s industrial and technical expertise with GSC Group’s local presence and customer service, with the goal of strengthening the competitiveness of the Veneto tanning district.
