LINEAPELLE 104 Preview: What to Anticipate at the Event from September 17-19, 2024

Fiera Milano Rho is set to host LINEAPELLE’s 104th edition from September 17 to 19, 2024. This premier event will showcase over 1,259 exhibitors from 43 countries, occupying more than 45,000 square meters of space. As a leading trade show, LINEAPELLE continues to solidify its reputation as a pivotal platform for the fashion, luxury, and design industries.

A Focus on Innovation and Trends for Autumn-Winter 2025-2026

This year’s exhibition will unveil trends for the Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 season under the theme “An Intelligent Heart.”

The LINEAPELLE Fashion Committee emphasizes a blend of dark, reassuring tones with vibrant new emotional stimuli. They advocate for a fresh interpretation of classic materials, merging traditionally distinct categories such as masculine and feminine or opaque and transparent. The goal is to celebrate texture and simplicity, pushing the boundaries of style and craftsmanship.

Trend samples will be displayed in dedicated Trend Areas within pavilions 9, 13, and 22. These trends will be further explored through style seminars in multiple languages and are detailed in the exclusive Trend Book available at the fair.

Fashion Shows and Designer Showcases

The event will also host the sixth edition of the Lineapelle Designers Edition at Spazio Lineapelle in Piazza Tomasi di Lampedusa.

The Fashion Show Area in Pavilion 24 will feature five major events spotlighting designers such as Yezael by Angelo Cruciani and Alchètipo by Andrea Alchieri. These shows aim to push leather into new stylistic and product directions.

Additionally, from September 18 to 23, presentations by Marco Rambaldi, Jonuel, and others will be held at Spazio Lineapelle, showcasing innovative uses of leather.

Craftsmanship and Workshops

A highlight of LINEAPELLE 104 is “Return to the Origins: Between Material and Technology,” part of “In The Making Act III.”

This project, curated by Giorgio Linea, recreates a prehistoric village where leather plays a central role. Visitors can participate in hands-on workshops and a Juice Bar that repurposes excess leather.

The fair will also feature “The Artisanal Legacy of Neapolitan Glove-Making,” offering live demonstrations of traditional techniques by Gala Gloves, Andreano, and Artigiano del Guanto.

Research and Collaboration

LINEAPELLE continues its partnership with SPIN 360, presenting the Science-Based Fashion Talks.

This segment will focus on sustainability, including decarbonization strategies and the impact of new anti-deforestation regulations on the leather industry.

The Ethical Fashion Initiative, supported by UNIC – Italian Tanneries and the International Trade Centre, will showcase African craftswomen’s skills, highlighting the importance of ethical and sustainable fashion practices.

Foreign Delegations and International Presence

Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICE Agency, LINEAPELLE 104 will welcome delegations from key markets including the United States, South Korea, and China.

These delegations, comprising designers, journalists, and industry stakeholders, will explore the latest trends and innovations.

Communication and Education

La Conceria, a leading publication in the Italian leather sector, will host its newsroom at the fair, promoting real leather and advocating for transparency.

LINEAPELLE 104 will also feature special projects by top international fashion institutes, including IED Istituto Europeo di Design and the London College of Fashion UAL.

Synergies with Other Milanese Fairs

LINEAPELLE 104 will run alongside other major Milanese fairs from September 14 to 17, including Micam and Mipel.

Additionally, a special edition of Simac Tanning Tech will be held, celebrating its 50th edition with a focus on the excellence of Made in Italy.

In conclusion, LINEAPELLE 104 promises to be a groundbreaking event, bringing together industry leaders, designers, and craftsmen to explore the future of fashion and design. With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, the fair continues to set the stage for the next evolution in the fashion and leather industries.
