The new leadership of the Vegetable Tanning Consortium has been announced, with Massimo Boldrini taking over as President for the next term.
The General Assembly of Members, held on February 20, 2025, elected the new Board of Directors for the 2025-2027 term. Massimo Boldrini of Conceria La Perla Azzurra has been chosen as the new President of the Consortium.
Joining Boldrini in leading the Consortium are:

Speaking on his appointment, Massimo Boldrini emphasized the importance of vegetable tanning, calling it more than just a technique.
“Vegetable tanning is culture, identity, and an expression of deep connection with the territory. Our role as a Consortium is to preserve it, communicate its value, and promote it as a symbol of authenticity and tradition.”

A special appreciation was extended to Leonardo Volpi, the outgoing President, for his dedicated leadership over the past two terms.
The Consortium’s General Assembly consists of 18 tanneries, each contributing to the heritage of vegetable-tanned leather. These include:
