MICAM, the world’s biggest footwear trade fair, is celebrating a historic milestone as it hosts its 100th edition from September 7 to 9, 2025 at Fieramilano Rho in Milan.
The event will honor more than 50 years of history while showcasing the latest in fashion, craftsmanship and innovation.
This year’s celebrations include fashion shows, expert talks, a special exhibition and even the release of a commemorative stamp.
Visitors will get a chance to experience MICAM’s journey from its early beginnings in Vigevano in 1931 to its status today as a global showcase for Italian SMEs and international brands.
This year’s edition will feature 870 brands, including 401 from Italy and 469 international names. Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Germany and Portugal are the top five countries represented after Italy.
More than 30,000 buyers from 150 countries are expected to attend.
A special exhibition titled “100 Steps Into the Future” will retrace the evolution of footwear by highlighting iconic designs from each decade.
Innovation will play a key role with MICAM presenting the Trends & Materials area powered by AI, along with the Future of Retail space.
This landmark edition also coincides with the 80th anniversary of Assocalzaturifici, the association that represents over 400 Italian footwear makers and owns MICAM.
The double milestone marks a celebration of heritage and craftsmanship while looking confidently towards future achievements.
