In a significant development for the leather industry in Pakistan, the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) has elected its new office bearers for the term 2024-2026.
The elections, held recently, saw Mr. Hamid Arshad Zahur of M/s. Noor Leather (Pvt) Ltd., Karachi, elected unopposed as the Central Chairman of the prestigious association. His leadership is expected to steer the industry through both challenges and opportunities in the coming years.
Joining him in the leadership team, Sheikh Abid Hussain of M/s. Prime Tanning Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Lahore, was elected unopposed as the Senior Vice Chairman. Meanwhile, Mr. Danish Aman from M/s. Hafiz Enterprises, Karachi, took the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee (CEC), also without contest.
This leadership change is seen as an essential step for the Pakistan Tanners Association, which plays a pivotal role in representing the country’s leather industry on both national and international stages.
These new office bearers are expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies to support Pakistan’s leather exports, which have been a significant contributor to the country’s economy.
New Central Executive Committee (CEC) Members for 2024-2026
In addition to the top leadership, the members of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) for the same term were also elected, bringing together an array of experienced professionals from various firms across Pakistan’s key leather manufacturing regions.

- Mr. Muhammad Musaddiq – M/s. Siddiq Leather Works (Pvt) Ltd., Lahore
- Mr. Saad Anis – M/s. Shaikh Brothers, Karachi
- Mr. Saad Latif – M/s. Sheikh of Sialkot (Pvt) Ltd., Sialkot
- Mr. Shafique Ahmed – M/s. Shafique Leather Enterprises, Karachi
