Pasubio S.p.A., a premium leather supplier for the automotive and luxury industry, has acquired 100% of Luilor S.p.A., a high end textile maker in Italy. The deal strengthens Pasubio’s UNICA platform, which was launched in June 2025 and expands its presence across luxury markets.

In May 2025, Pasubio also announced it had acquired full ownership of 2 Italian leather companies, SK!N in February and Conceria Antiba in April, both located in Tuscany, as part of building its UNICA platform.

Pasubio said the Biagioni family, founders of Luilor, will join its holding company as shareholders alongside PAI Partners, the Pretto family and founders of Antiba and SKIN S.r.l. This aligns all stakeholders under a long-term vision.

Luilor was founded in 1990 by Marco Biagioni as a family driven Italian textile company, named after his sons Luigi and Lorenzo, who now lead key parts of the business.

The company designs and produces high-end fabrics exclusively at its Tuscan factory, supported by a team of 80 skilled workers. Luilor sells around 70% of its products internationally, with key markets including Japan, the Netherlands and Scandinavian countries.

“We are delighted to welcome Luilor and the Biagioni family to Pasubio. This transaction marks an important milestone in our ambition to build a global platform of excellence in high-end materials for the luxury sector.”

– Luca Pretto, CEO, Pasubio

The acquisition adds Luilor’s expertise in jacquard and premium technical fabrics, helping Pasubio offer a wider range of materials across automotive, fashion and interior design. The company aims to position itself as a diversified partner to global luxury brands.

“By combining Pasubio’s longstanding expertise in leather with Luilor’s distinctive capabilities in textiles, we further strengthen our ability to support our clients across a wider range of applications and end markets, while helping to shape the industry’s evolution and set new standards in quality, innovation and service.”

– Luca Pretto, CEO, Pasubio

The Biagioni family and Luilor’s management will continue to run operations and join UNICA’s management committee. They will focus on innovation, sustainability, material traceability and faster time-to-market.

Headquartered in Arzignano, Italy, Pasubio operates 12 facilities and serves Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
