Pedro Vives has been appointed as the new president of FUTURMODA, taking over from José Antonio Ibarra after 8 years and 16 editions leading the trade fair. The leadership change comes ahead of FUTURMODA 56, which will be held on October 14 and 15, 2026, at IFA Elche.
Vives is the distributor of Comelz SPA in Spain and brings more than 2 decades of experience in the footwear sector.
He has previously served as president of FUTURMODA before José Antonio Ibarra’s tenure and was one of the promoters behind the redesign project that shaped the fair into its current format.
The appointment reflects a leadership transition focused on experience and continuity as FUTURMODA prepares for its 56th edition.
FUTURMODA thanked José Antonio Ibarra for his eight years of leadership and welcomed Pedro Vives as he begins his new role.
FUTURMODA 56 will take place at IFA Elche on October 14 and 15, 2026.
