The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has announced a virtual webinar on the Union Budget 2025-26, scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 11:15 AM to 5:00 PM. The event will focus on the recently introduced Focus Product Scheme for Footwear and Leather Sectors, aiming to boost growth in these industries and others.
One of the most anticipated segments of the webinar is the keynote address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. The Prime Minister is expected to outline the government’s vision for MSMEs, startups, and labor-intensive industries.
Program Schedule
The webinar will kick off with a thematic session from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM, providing context on the Union Budget’s impact on MSMEs and related industries.
Following the Prime Minister’s keynote address, the session will break into five key discussions from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM, led by different ministries, focusing on:
- Credit and Financial Support for MSMEs (Ministry of MSME)
- Empowering Startups and First-Time Entrepreneurs (Ministry of DFS)
- Strategies and Measures for the Footwear & Leather Sector (Ministry of DPIIT)
- Accelerating Growth in the Toys Industry (Ministry of DPIIT)
- Enhancing Opportunities in the Food Processing Sector (Ministry of MoFPI)
After a brief break from 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM, the event will resume with a concluding session from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
This session will include a presentation of key recommendations by breakout session moderators and addresses by key ministers, including:
