On May 6, 2026 Stahl announced that it has partnered with the University of Lleida in Spain to launch a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Leather Finishes for Automotive Interiors. The programme focuses on automotive leather finishing and aims to help professionals build advanced technical skills for the industry.
The new programme is a 6-week professional course delivered in 2-week blocks, combining industry expertise with hands-on learning to prepare professionals for the fast-changing automotive interiors sector.
The programme will take place at the A3 Leather Innovation Center, a research group at the University of Lleida, which specializes in the leather production. Its facilities are located at the Igualada-UdL University Campus in Igualada, Barcelona.
Participants will learn about market trends, performance insights, advanced formulations and application techniques related to automotive leather finishing.
The course is designed to give practical and real-world knowledge to professionals working in the leather and automotive interiors industry.
Stahl said the programme was developed together with leading academic and industry experts to support innovation and sustainability in automotive interiors.
The company added that the initiative will help professionals gain the skills needed to lead in automotive leather finishing as the industry continues to evolve.
