Yadavendra Singh Sachan has been elected as the Regional Chairman of the Central Regional Committee of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) in Kanpur. He succeeds Asad Kamal Iraqi, the previous Regional Chairman for the Central Region.
The election took place at the KLC Complex in Banthar on Monday. The move sets the leadership for the region’s leather export activities for the next 2 years.
Yadavendra Sachan, Managing Director of Growmore International Limited (GIL), will serve a 2 year term. The company operates in the leather goods industry and is known for manufacturing and exporting leather belts, accessories and other leather products from Kanpur.
Alongside the chairman’s election, members from various product panels were selected for the Council’s Committee of Administration (COA) from the Central Region.
Mukhtarul Amin was elected from the Leather Apparel panel while Rehan Ajmal will represent the Leather panel. Rakesh Suri was chosen from the Leather Footwear panel and Javed Iqbal from the Footwear Components panel. Karan Arora will represent the Leather Articles panel. Asad K. Iraqi and Mohammad Iftekhar were elected from the Saddlery and Harness panel.
After the meeting, former CLE Chairman Rajendra Kumar Jalan congratulated Sachan and the newly elected members.
