According to official data released by the China Leather Industry Association, China’s leather garment exports reached $33.5 million from January to March 2026, the first quarter of 2026, rising 54.3% compared to the same period last year.
Leather garments imports stood at $34.02 million during the first quarter, up 27.8% year-on-year.
The data shows strong growth in China’s leather garment trade during the first quarter of 2026. Both exports and imports recorded double-digit growth compared to Q1 2025.
China’s leather industry, which includes the leather, footwear, leather garments, bags and cases sectors, reported exports worth $19.05 billion from January to March 2026, the first quarter of 2026, down 4.22% year-on-year.
While Imports stood at $3.87 billion during the same period, rising 4.6%.
